How to delete archive log backups using RMAN?

We are in 11.2.0.2....We are delete the old archive log backups...When I go to Flash recovery area and check for the archivelog folders, I see archive log files present for 19 Feb, 20-Feb,21-Feb,22-Feb,23-Feb,24-Feb..I check in the folder for 18-Feb and it was empty....

But when I login to RMAN and run the command, "list backup of archivelog all;", I only see archive logs for 18-Feb and no other days....

Can you tell me the reason for such a discrepancy? How can i correct it? Also, can i go to OS archive log folder and delete the folders physically fro the server?
