Offline Mediation Controller and Oracle Unified Directory: connect OMC to corporate OUD

Hello guys. Would it be possible / recommended to integrate OMC to the corporate OUD?

The installation suggests that a NEW instance should be created, but I don't understand if its written like that just to warn that AT LEAST you need ONE INSTANCE to be configured before attempting to integrate OMC with OUD, or instead, the instance should be for the exclusive use of OMC, and should not be shared with a multi purpose instance.

Does anyone have a hint on this? Any specialist we can contact within Oracle?
