With advanced Transportation, is it possible to check if lot expires while in transit?

Using advanced transportation, is it possible to validate item expiry dates during ship confirmation to ensure the lot is not due to expire while in transit?  We understand that we cannot ship expired lots if expiry date less than or equal to ship date.  Would like to not be able to ship items that are due to expire while in transit.
