UDC 46/PS usage

We are using P4617 for pick confirmation.  We are considering adding UDC statuses to 46/PS to reflect additional steps in the picking process.  Example Status flow: Suggestion printed at 340>Inspect Tote contents 341> Suggestion confirmed 399 when line is Pick confirmed.  The pick process will be completed using DSI and we are thinking that once user has completed the intermediate (offline) step DSI prompts could update the status of the suggestion..  Is there any issue using these statuses?  We will not change the hard coded statuses we would only add in additional statuses.
