Performance improvement measures for Open UI

Dear Experts

We have implemented Siebel Open UI and we are navigating the user to it using an external application (SFDC) and authenticating using SSO. The time it takes to load the Open UI target page is very unsatisfactory (in order of ~5 minutes). We have determined that a lot of this time is attributed towards downloading and js files when the user navigates to Open UI for the first time.I would like to know if there are any measures which can be taken to improve this performance?
