Terminate Employee Assignment

Dear All,

I have a problem in an employee assignment , he is having 2 active assignments at the same time (15-FEB-2015) which is his hire date, when i tried to terminate the 2nd assignment which (-2) effective 15-FEB, it gave me an error that i can't correct this assignment.

When i terminated it effective 25-FEB then we run the payroll, it has been processed as 2 assignment the second one (-2) has been processed from 15-FEB to 25-FEB, what can i do please ??
