Hi,

Our initial tests to upgrade from 3.2.8 to 3.3.1 conclusion is that this is a no-go....

OVM server is now based on OL6.

Consider 3.3 rather that a "4.0" release. This is not a "next next next" upgrade.

First of all the Hardware compatibility list shrunk from 57 storage arrays to 28 !! This inconsistent list across 3.x releases is absolutely ridiculous.

Installing a fresh OVM server gives different and inconsistent NIC naming. previously we had eth0 to eth7. Now we get emX for the first card and pXpY for the secondary card. So far so good.

But the second card interfaces naming is not always named correctly. Sometimes We're ending up with "rename8, rename9" instead of a consistent pXpY. This is a known bug acknowledged by Oracle.

Howdy, Stranger!
