Order in which listener.ora and tnsnames.ora is read by Oracle

Hello everyone,

I wanted to know the order in which Oracle reads listener.ora and tnsnames.ora on linux and windows OS.

I work on red hat linux and I see Oracle reads listener.ora/tnsnames.ora from either /etc/listener.ora or /var/opt/oracle/listener.ora or $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/listener.ora

Appreciate if somebody could clarify me on this.

Thanks

Narayan
