Is it possible to change the Track in Install Base flag while there are open POs within the system?

Hello IB Gurus,

A user made a mistake of not truning on IB tracking and in the process have also created high value POs that are now approved? Is there a way other than cancellation of POs that will still allow us to change the IB flag in Item Master?

We can fliush out the on-hand temporarily, but are having issues with open POs in the system....

Appreciate any insights...
