Transfer owner ship from Internal to External Customer

Hi,

Is it possible to transfer the ownership of an Internally owned item to External Customer? I don't see any option in the front end neither I am able to transfer via API?

Can you please suggest something? We have an on-hand conversion requirement where we have customer owned items sitting in our stock and since the on-hand conversion is being done via Misc Receipt, IB ownership is transferred to Internal Party (setup in IB parameter) and we need to flip it to Customer Ownership. Is there any way to achieve this?

Please suggest.
