Default Security class in HFM

Hi,

Per Oracle documentation,any HFM member which is not assigned a security class assumes,Default Security class.

1.Does this mean members of all dimensions in the metadata hierarchy? OR

2, Members of dimensions for which the security is enabled in Application settings? For example,if there is a Custom dimension for which the security is not enabled in application settings,and if there is a member of that custom dimension which  is not assigned a security class.Will it assume Default Security Class? Please clarify.
