verifying interconnect

Hello

I would appreciate if someone knows a way to know or to discover the 'real' number of machines or 'routes' within the private interconnect

For example if the network administrator misconfigured the interconnect leaving some other machines 'inside' or another routes that leaves this 'private' network not as isolated as the pre-requisites are stated
