What are the pros and cons of turning on 'POR: Enable Automatic Debit Memo Creation for Returns' ?

Hello,

We are exploring to enable 'POR:  Enable Automatic Debit Memo Creation for Returns'

We use only indirect procurement, no inventory.

We have around 10,000 suppliers.If we wish to switch this on now, do we need to go to every supplier site and check 'Create Debit Memo from RTS Transaction' ?

What are the pros and cons ? Will there be any maintenance issues ?

Please advice.
