9.1 Developer Client - local HTML testing - issue or as designed?

My first post here

In short, we're in the midst of a 9.1 Upgrade and our Developer is having an 'issue' with local testing on a fat client (using local HTML). He goes into the Address Book (no version specified) and selects visual assist on the search type and it just hangs.

If when you run the application, you exit and run P0005S (UDC Search and Select) from fastpath, and rerun P01012 from fast path, the UDC search and select works on search type. You have to do this every time. Not sure at the moment if it's isolated to the P01012/UDC Search or other applications too.
