How can I auto approve a set of shipments?

Client is a building products manufacturer, and they ship to big-box retail stores via LTL.  The orders are entered via EDI from the retail store's system, and there are many (hundreds) of orders to ship in a tight time frame.  In order to expedite the process, we are using the Carrier Preference, and we are auto-routing the shipments.  We would also like to auto-approve the shipments, to save time. 

Is there any program that already exists in JDE Transportation Management that I could use to auto-approve the shipments?  The program would have to update the shipment status, and also update the status of each of the SO detail lines on the shipment.  I'm guessing this would be a batch application, but I don't see it.
