xla_events event in I status

Dear experts,

Could you please advise of the possible reason of having an event not processed in the xla_events table?

It's an CM_UPDATE, it's in I process_status_code and U event_status_code.  The GL date is 01-Feb-15 belonging to Feb-15 period.

The exception report shows there are unposted transaction and not able to close the period.

Would you please advise which things I can check to know the error?
