asm_diskstring and disk ownership

This is a system I inherited and is my first and only ASM, so I am proceeding with an abundance of caution.  We are starting to migrate to a new SAN, for which I have another thread to deal with the specifics.  But I have a more general question about asm_diskstring and disk discovery.

The SA is mounting the disks as /dev/mapper/mapth(a-z).  I don't know a lot about configuring that but from my discussions with her, that is pretty much the default and when a new disk is added it just takes the next available name between (a-z).  As a result, my asm_diskstring looks something like this:   (the emcpower is obsolete and will be removed, the fio[a-c] is internal ssd.)
