Capacity Planning & Configurator/Planning Bills

Using JDE XE B7333

Is it possible to run Capacity Planning with Configurator and Planning Bills?  I have done it with Standard Manufacturing with standard BOMs and Routings, but never with configured orders where what ends up on the Work Order is based upon some configuration including options...

If it can be done, how is it different from CRP with Standard BOMs and Routings?  Is there a White Paper or manual on it somewhere?
