Making future dated order to current date

How does OSM behaves, if we submit a future dated order and it is waiting in OSM to start on future date, Then somebody realize and tries to revise the order by modifying the order due date to current date. Should order start immediately?

I did try above scenario, but my revision order is going to completed state with skipped status. Although, I made significant changes in revision, but still it goes to completed with skipped. Base order is still sitting with future date to start.

Is this an expected behaviour? I expected the order should start processing after revision with current due date was placed.
