Can the Sales Order Doc Type in E191 be blank on Flexible Sales Accounting P40296?

In Xe, a blank was used for the document type in 4220, 4230,4240 and 4270 in order to flex the Business Unit on any Sales Order Document Type. (SO,SW, CO,CW)

Converted to E1 91 and now it does not flex the Business Unit unless the Doc Type is filled in on P40296.  Does each doc type have to be set up??
