Using Oracle VM Server as compute node

edited Apr 6, 2022 11:35PM in Oracle VM (OVM) (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

I'm just starting get to know with Oracle Openstack for Linux/Oracle VM as a possible replacement for Oracle VM Manager.

Beginner questions:

1. If using Openstack with Oracle VM as compute node - is hard-partitioning recognized by Oracle for this (assuming cpu-pinning set in vm configuration)?

2. After installation of Oracle VM Server 3.3.2 - should I reconfigure network to get rid of bond0 which is automatically configured during its installation?

3. Are there any instructions what should be done with Oracle VM Server setup after installation? I.e should ovs-agent and other services being disabled?

Official documentation mentions that only dom0 memory should be amended.

Howdy, Stranger!
