Is there a workaround to send OTM notifications through an Exchange email server?

We have an Exchange mail server to send all the notifications from OTM. We tried to configure it with the property glog.mail.smtp.host from the config file, but it did not work. The question is: Is there an alternative way to configure OTM to use the Exchange server?

I found two documents regarding this topic for OTM version 5:
