Asset Key Flexfield

Asset Key Flexfield  Segment1  -

set up with validation type = Table

using table GMS_Awards_All - which allows us to capture the Award Number - 

we have identified the following issue - we are unable to pick Awards where the Award_end_date_active is before the system_date .

Is there an option to switch off/bypass the end_date_active validation ?  i.e. ignore the Award_End_date_active column
