WHERE DOES THE EMPLOYEE NAME COME FROM WITH FIXED ASSETS ASSIGNMENTS

I have had no luck in trying to determine where an employee name comes from within the FA Mass Addtions window.  We had an inactive employee which did not appear in the assignments window and the Mass Additions Post process failed because the employee was inactive.  We could not delete the employee from assignments because they were not visible.  We had the employee activated BUT we also need to determine how does the name link to this field in Mass Additions. 

Can you tell us - does the name come into Mass Additions from the Requistion or somewhere in the Purchase Order?
