LOT COMMITMENT METHOD BASED ON DATE

Hi

Is there documentation how the commitment method "based on date works".

Currently, the % shelf life remaining is calculated based on on hand date, which can be incorrect if the product was made before it was received (e.g. products received from supplier could be produced 3 months before they were received.) Therefore, the % shelf life should be calculated based on date the product was made not based on when they were received.

any workaround appreciated.
