sqlplus sys@prod as sysdba from remote desktop/oem12c issue

Hi,

We have  4 node RAC database on RHEL-6.4(gGI/DB version-11.2.0.3) .

I am not able to connect to the database from remote desktop and OEM12c console using user SYS as sysdba but other user(user1) who has sysdba privileged is working.

sqlplus sys/*****@prod as sysdba

giving error :invalid user name and password

but  sqlplus  user1/****@prod as sysdba ---------- working perfectly.

what could be the reason ? please share if any body has  experienced this issue and have solution.

please review below information and advise

SQL> show parameter SEC_CASE_SENSITIVE_LOGON

NAME                                 TYPE        VALUE

------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------

sec_case_sensitive_logon             boolean     FALSE
