ODA 12.1.2.2.0 - Redo space smaller than expected due to redundancy??

Dear All,

I'm currently working on an ODA X4-2 installed in version 12.1.2.2.0 and was looking a bit more in details about ASM and ACFS volumes.

Theoretically I have 4 disks of 200GB so 800GB raw volume, which with High Redundancy comes to ~248GB available space (as stated in the documentation).

However while looking in ASMCDM and checking the volumes I can see following:

ASMCMD> lsdg

State    Type    Rebal  Sector  Block       AU  Total_MB  Free_MB  Req_mir_free_MB  Usable_file_MB  Offline_disks  Voting_files  Name

MOUNTED  NORMAL  N         512   4096  4194304   7372800  3865292           368640         1748326              0             Y  DATA/

MOUNTED  NORMAL  N         512   4096  4194304   9796800  5087608           489840         2298884              0             N  RECO/

MOUNTED  HIGH    N         512   4096  4194304    763120   550972

Howdy, Stranger!
