Upgrade 11.2.0.3.0 with latest maintenance on Windows

Hi, we are running Oracle Database Standard Edition 11.2.0.3.0
on a Windows server, and I would like to upgrade this with the latest maintenance.  From looking at several articles it looks
like I need to first upgrade with patch set 11.2.0.4.0 by installing this in a
new home directory.  Here are my current
directories:

 

ORACE_BASE:  \oracle

ORACLE_HOME:  \oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1

I am inexperienced with applying maintenance and the
detailed articles I have found are not for Windows, so I have some questions:

 

  1. When I run the installer, will it automatically create
    and install new files in    \oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_2?
  2. Can I run this install with the current release
