Unable to update item attribute planning time fence code from back end.

Hi all,

       I want to update the item attribute planning time fence code from user defined to total lead time. I can update it through front end application but when I am trying same attribute to update through back end it shows error

Planning time fence days should be null when planning time fence code is not set to User defined. Can anyone please help me how can I get out from this error.
