Mass addition process not updating Asset Key FF or Location FF

 

We are in the Assets module R12.  When we try to prepare our mass additions and update the mass additions in the NEW queue, I expect the Asset Key FF and the Location FF to populate automatically.  Doc ID 1454891.1 says that “Then you query the NEW line in Prepare mass addition form in order to complete it.  You are updating the line, then no default is inserted.  The user needs to choose it from LOV or it will be populated upon saving if the queue is changed from NEW to POST.”   When we change the queue from NEW to POST and click the save button, we get a message that the Location field must be entered.
