Annual close - amount doubling ?

This is our first Year End on JDE 9.1, and according to the documentation, we should be able to do the  "Annual Close" process multiple times.

I have done a test, and the first time I did a close, the figure in the retained earnings account is correct.   I have since entered another Journal Entry for $200 to the previous year, and processed another "Annual Close,".expecting to see only the change of $200 in the retained earnings account .   Now it appears that the YE balance of the retained earnings account has added my first close to my second close. 

ie.  1st annual close = $351,158.34
