[BI publisher 11.1.1.7] Does IF statement support in Excel template?

Hi, Gurus

I want confirm that IF statement(<?if:condition?>) could be use in excel template or not. (BI publisher 11.1.1.7)

I want show/hide a block by using IF statement.

and I checked the "Oracle® Fusion Middleware Report Designer's Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher Release 11g(11.1.1)Part No. E13881-02"

the IF statement only discribed in RTF template chapter.

Does excel template support using of IF statement?

If supported, any sample could be provided?

Or, with excel template any method could show/hide a area?

please introduce.
