Manufacturing WO Production Cost

Hi all

I have found in a number of WO's, that once the WO is closed and has gone through Manufacturing Accounting and Variance Accounting, the Standard Amount matches the Completed Amount even though the quantity completed does not match the quantity requested.  Is this normal?  Thanks for any help...
