Sharing of Tax and Tax Status for AP and AR Tax Rates?

Hi,

We have recently upgraded to R12.1.3 and now we have a requirement to setup new Tax codes (United Kingdom).

i wanted to know whether we can share the "Tax" and "Tax Status" for AP and AR Tax Rates (I understand EBT doesn't distinguish between AP or AR taxes but our client wants to setup them separately),

if yes can we have "Allow Tax Recovery" enabled at Tax level and specify the "Default Recovery Rate Code" for AP Tax Rate and leave this field blank for AR Tax Rate?

or do i need to setup separate Tax-Status-Rate setup for AP and AR with  "Allow Tax Recovery
