Impact in changing UOM Conversions?

Hi,

Eg: Item UOM (unit).

1unit=1 each

Interclass conversion 1L=0.8each

After creating some documents (Requisition, Purchase Order, Receiving), someone changes the UOM conversion (1L=0.5each).

I would like to know the impact by changing this UOM besides when matching invoice the amount on invoice is different from amount received.

User that change the conversion only receives a message and can continue with the update:

APP-INV-05411: Changing conversions that have been used in transactions may cause severe data corruption. Please make certain that this conversion has not been used before accepting changes.

I have seen that there is a Transaction on AME (INV Item/Lot UOM Conversion Update) - do you think this transaction would help to create a rule to prevent update before changing previous transactions that were performed with old UOM conversion?

Howdy, Stranger!
