BI Publisher Bursting FTP Question

Hello

We have a situation where we are using XML/BI Bursting to FTP the output files to a location on the server. We do not want to capture the FTP credentials in teh control file/lookups/profile options. Are there are any other options of storing the credetials and refer back in the control file? Is it possibel to use XDO.cfg file in such cases to store login credentials and If yes, can you please elaborate the steps?
