MPXIO - missing paths

Gidday,

I am experiencing a curious issue with MPXIO.

First allow me to explain the sequence of events.

Hardware  V490 OS Release Solaris 10 u9

HBA MODEL – QLA2462 (SUN/ORACLE MODEL Number = 375-3294-01)

The Server had 2 PORTS connected to EMC SAN, a single QLA2462 (sun badged) HBA. (6 PATHS - 3 per initiator port) - Don;t ask me why they went with 3 x 2 PATHS) as opposed to 4.

We determined that one of the ports was dying (timeouts in the OS log files AND a abnormal reading on the RX port of the switch.), after swapping cables, and changing switch ports.

The Fibre cable for the dogy port was disconnected and we ran happily on the single port (3 paths) for a number of days (timeouts dissipated).
