Eclipse CSDT (Remote) Cannot Handle Voided Assets

G'day,

I have Eclipse connected to a server remotely via http. After deleting a previously exported asset and using the sync button to sync the voided asset, I got this error

Unable to export voided asset, Page:1374097716350. A voided asset can only be exported if the asset was previously exported with a different status.

As a control, I had used the command line to export the same asset into the server's export folder and that one worked as expected.

When I set the CSDT logger in Debug mode, I see that when syncing via Eclipse, the server uses a temp directory as the datastore instead of my local cs_workspace directory like this:
