What is the difference between Reservation and Allocation

In Order Management, While Booking the Sales Order Reservation comes into picture, It May be Hard Reservation or Soft Reservation, please clarify the difference between the two and what is the setup for the same

More over Allocation comes into picture only during Move Order Processing, Please confirm
