Integrating EBS Asset Management with Meridium using SOA Gateway

Hello,

  I am looking to have answers on concerns that I have with using SOA Gateway under EBS 12.1 to build integration between Asset Management and third party products like Meridium or Maximo for example. The idea is to build the solution to pass and get information on work orders and asset related information. Any input in this reference is much appreciated. Note that my understanding that Oracle uses BPEL under the architecture to drive the integration, however, would using a tool like Talend be repetitive or unnecessary in this case?
