OOTB Business Service to Encrypt data

Hi Gurus,

We have a requirement where-in a particular field from Siebel needs to be encrypted and sent over to an external system through Web Service. While we do understand that we have AES Encryptor & RC2 Encryptor service that Siebel uses for data encryption at field level, wanted to checked if any one has used it as a standalone service and what will be the method invoked or inputs/outputs for it
