How to hold one item in Store?

HI All,

We have one requirement that we are using Inventory, OM & Purchasing Module and going to implement Ware House Management. Now requirement from client arises that when 5 Items are already placed in the Store and when we go to check that item , from them 1 has been damaged not working properly. So how can we cater this information that while creating the Sales Order that particular Item Quantity should not be recognized?
