GL: Initial balances for new secondary ledger
We are setting up a new secondary ledger and we have a question regarding initial balances for new ledgers.

According to the Oracle Subledger Accounting Implementation Guide (Release 12.1) one of the prerequisites of "Running the SLA Secondary/ALC Ledger Historic Upgrade Program" is to create initial balances for new ledgers.

Our question is, does it make a difference to enter the balances after running the process?
We are not interested in running the Historic Upgrade Program for all modules (we will only run it for AP and AR) and we don't need historical SLA data for all modules, so we wonder if it makes a difference to enter balances after the processes finish and we have the final SLA amounts...
