Printer configuration change from windows to linux during upgrade for large number of printers

We have a customer that is upgrading from 8.11 to 9.1 and doing a platform change from Windows to Linux.  They have over 160 printers defined in E1 where the definition in 8.11 is \\printservername\printername. Since they are switching platforms from Windows to Linux, this nomenclature for printers will no longer be valid in E1.  One method to resolve this is to define each and every printer on Linux, using a program like CUPS, identify and load each Printer’s drivers,  and then giving the CNC the virtual name of the printer so the printers can be defined in E1.   This, however, will be too time consuming to do for 160+ printers.

Howdy, Stranger!
