listener logging -- xml vs. traditional

Oracle 11.2.0.3.8 StdEd One 64-bit

Oracle Linux 5.6

Standalone ASM, no RAC no clustering

Two servers, prod_server, test_server.

On server prod_server, the listener is only writing the .xml version of the log

On server test_server, the listener is writing both the .xml and the traditional .log

I’m trying to figure out why prod_server is not writing the traditional listener log

On prod_server – content of listener.ora

oracle:+ASM$ pwd

/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/grid/network/admin

oracle:+ASM$ cat listener.ora

# listener.ora Network Configuration File: /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/grid/network/admin/listener.ora
