[12.2 Clone] Database only clone steps confirm.

Hi, experts

I have one AP TIER server, one database server(database only),

I want clone the EBS12.2 database tier. I have questions with below part

(I am not very clear with " Cloning Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 with Rapid Clone (Doc ID 1383621.1)".):

  --->Section 5: Advanced Cloning Options

      --->5.7 Cloning the Database Separately

Does below understanding is correct ?

1) Prepare the Source System for database tier and application tier

a) Prepare the Source System database tier for cloning 

b) Prepare the Source System application tier for cloning  ( skip )

2.Copy both database tier and application tier nodes from the Source System to the Target System ( skip apps tier here )
