Queries on ClassID download method for JRE

Hi,

I have been reviewing note 290807.1 in regards to JRE as a plugin with E-Business Suite and have some queries which I was hoping someone could she some light on

Q1. When did Oracle HTTP change from using MIME TYPE to CLASSID as the download method to Internet Explorer for the JRE plugin ? Was it a particular version of Oracle HTTP / E-Business Suite ?

Q2.Since IE can also use MIME TYPE as the download method, why did Oracle change to CLASSID ? Is there any advantage with using CLASSID ?

Q3. Does Oracle HTTP/Web Servers use CLASSID as a method to download any other plugins or is it only JRE ?
