Exclude selected attribute value accross all other instances of Product

Hi All,

I've an attribute with values from 1 to 5 in product P. Lets say user added 3 instances of P in single root product, and selected attribute value as 2  in one of the instance then we need to restrict user to not select 2 again in other instances. Kindly let me know possible solution for this to achieve.
