Session Agent Configuration Error

I receive the below error when creating an new session agent.  Can anyone explain why I'm receiving this error when I'm using the same IP address for the hostname and IP address.

 

session-agent [x.x.x.x] Realm [Service Provider] and hostname [x.x.x.x] does not belong to the same address family
