Bandwidth CAC - media profile not matching correctly

edited Apr 7, 2014 6:34PM in Acme Packet (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Hi,

I have a requirement that I need to limit bandwidth on a specific company's realm.  I read about max-bandwidth in the realm-config and also created multiple media-profiles.  I cannot constrain by sessions since there is a mixture of G711 and G729 calls traversing the realm.

Media-profiles

1. G729A payload-type 18 req-bandwidth 30

2. G729 payload-type 18 req-bandwidth 30

3. PCMU payload-type 0 req-bandwidth 80

4. PCMA payload-type 4 req-bandwidth 80

I set the max-bandwidth in the realm to 90 (for testing purposes).

I make an outbound call that supports both G729 and PCMU (see SDP below), however it negotiates at G729 when the call is established.  Problem is 80 is being deducted from the bandwidth instead of the 30 I assigned for G729.

Howdy, Stranger!
